20th Annual Manhattan Lunar New Year Parade

THE ASIAN JADE SOCIETY HAS BEEN AUTHORIZED BY THE DEPARTMENT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE 20TH ANNUAL MANHATTAN CHINATOWN LUNAR NEW YEAR PARADE. THE LUNAR NEW YEAR PARADE IS AN ANNUAL EVENT TO RECOGNIZE AND HONOR OUR MEMBERS WHO ARE OF CHINESE /ASIAN DESCENT, AND TO CELEBRATE THE LUNAR NEW YEAR. MUSTER WILL BE ON SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2019, 1200 HOURS AT MOTT AND CANAL STREETS. THE PARADE WILL COMMENCE AT 1300 HOURS

UNIFORMED, CIVILIAN MEMBERS AND THEIR FAMILIES ARE INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT. FULL DRESS UNIFORM IS REQUIRED FOR UNIFORMED PARTICIPANTS, AND BUSINESS ATTIRE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL CIVILIANS. PERMISSION TO ATTEND THIS EVENT FOR ON-DUTY MEMBERS OF THE SERVICE IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE MEMBER'S COMMANDING OFFICER. OFF-DUTY MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THIS EVENT IN DRESS UNIFORM (SEE PATROL GUIDE PROCEDURES 204-02 AND 204-03). NO OVERTIME IS TO BE INCURRED


ADMINISTRATIVE GUIDE PROCEDURE 304-07, "FUNCTION/EVENT SPONSORED BY A DEPARTMENT RELIGIOUS, LINE OR FRATERNAL ORGANIZATION" PROVIDES GUIDELINES FOR THE EXCUSAL OF MEMBERS OF THE SERVICE TO ATTEND THIS EVENT

2019 Asian Jade Society General Membership renewal dues are now being collected.

Members who do not pay their dues by June will be assessed a $10.00 late fee to $45.00.
If you sign through through Employee Self Service, ESS Direct Deduction Dues will $35.00 year round.
Will be automatically be payroll deducted every year.

Summit Security is seeking a qualified and experienced full-time Chinese speaking investigator to join their team of professionals on a full-time basis. Position is available in the New York City area. Investigator duties include the following: Locating witnesses; Conducting witness interviews; Obtaining statements; Conducting surveillance on mobile or stationary targets; Evaluating information gathered; Writing detailed reports. Ideal Candidate will possess the following qualifications: two+ years of investigative experience (preferred prior law enforcement experience); Excellent communication skills; Able to work independently; Exceptional report writing ability; Great attention to detail. New York based Investigations & Security Company is seeking qualified individuals to investigate Medicaid Fraud in New York City and the Downstate New York Counties. Individuals MUST meet the following criteria for consideration:

• Minimum of six (6) years experience investigating criminal, civil, medical, welfare and/or white collar fraud (higher education credit may be substituted, if in a related field)
• Five (5) years experience conducting face-to-face interviews
• Five years (5) experience conducting: o Undercover investigations o Surveillance o Running multiple investigations simultaneously Individuals must present SPECIFIC evidence demonstrating they meet the above qualifications.

Individuals will be expected to conduct interviews, take written statements, collect & analyze physical and documentary evidence, prepare detailed written reports, and testify in court or at formal hearings.
Please include and highlight any specialized skills, education, or experience in the following:

• Nursing
• Healthcare
• Auditing
• Forensics

Foreign Language skills are highly desired, especially those in the following areas:
• Chinese
